Battambang

Battambang is one of Cambodia's most important and richest province. It lies in the north-west of the country. The province is located 291 km from Phnom Penh, has an area of ​​11702km2. In 2008 1.024.663 people lived in the province.The province is the fourth tourist destination to Siem Reap, Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville. Battambang is known for beautiful colonial buildings and many pagodas with beautiful architecture.
